Ryu is MUCH Better!

Sat Jun 7, 2008, 9:09 PM
Hiya everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that Ryu is doing SO much better after his accident! Really, not long after it happened he was acting as though nothing ever happened to him, running around giggling, as happy as ever. He doesn't like the Vaseline, though. It's hard for me to have to have him held down so I can slather the stuff on his burn. He had been a little cranky because of the burn healing so it's been quite itchy. He doesn't like that at all. But other than that he's been great. I'm so relieved! I'm still looking for someone who can write "Thank you for your kindness" in Mandarin calligraphy for me, so if you know anyone who can do it and is willing to help, please let me know. ^_^
The people who run the resteraunt actually bought Ryu a little ride on motorcycle (not actually powered, of course). It's so cute! He's still not quite old enough for it yet, but I've got it all put together for him, and he kind of plays with it a bit as though it's just an oversize toy car or something. I tried to put him on it once, and he sat for about a second before he started to freak out a bit. He's not quite tall enough for it, so he was on his tippy toes, and I think it was uncomfortable, so I took him off and he's -kind of- been ignoring it since then. =P
Work is still going well. I've had one "bad" customer. It was really more funny than anything, though, really. XD This lady started freaking out because the brand name cans of root beer were ringing up as 69 cents, and she kept going on about how the sign said they were 39 cents, even when I was on the phone with a guy from grocery, she kept trying to interrupt "THE SIGN IS RIGHT THERE!" So she got pissed and told me to take them off. The sign was for the store brand, not the brand name. What's funny is the customer behind her said to me "I don't know how you guys can handle people like that." And she actually went to check the sign to see what it was for. So, the moral of this story boys and girls is: For the love of God, before you freak out at a cashier and make yourself look like a complete ass, look at the name of the product on the sign, not just the price. I was told I handled the bitch really well. Maybe I -should- apply for a customer service position. :lmao:
Anyway, hope everyone's doing well. Any plans for the summer?

  • Mood: Relief
  • Listening to: Nightwish
  • Reading: Clive Barker's The Great and Secret Show
  • Watching: The Crow

Heya Bal~!
Well if that other girl couldn't help you could try [link]

Many a toys we had when we were younger that we didn't quite know properly to play with yet we still had fun playing in all the wrong ways with them.

Ah yes! Nazi customers.
There was one time this customer an these noodles...
Ah yes funny times. :)

As far as my summer plans are, I am currently going attend a college for five remaining classes so I can get my degree!

Hopefully i'll be done by the end of the year.
Hehehe, yup, I remember the days. One of the best things about being a parent is you get to play with your kid's toys. :XD:
Well, I find bad customers more amusing than anything nowadays. I wouldn't have if it was only a year ago or so, but at this point I really don't give a flying crap. =P If they want to make themselves look like complete morons that's their problem. :giggle:
Yay! Degree for Vallie! I hope it all goes well for you, hun!

peoplepeoplepeople...
I'm glad to hear you've only had to deal with one bad seed so far~
I had quite an assortment when I was working at the toy shop.. I Think it was mainly due to the fact that 98% of the customers were on vacation.. and it seems that when people go on vacation they leave their mind and manners at home ;_;
but yeah..
Good to hear the little guy is doing well! (and you too! XD :glomp: )
Yeah, I've been pretty darn lucky. I think it's mostly because I'm always smiling, so people treat me very well. I've had people ask me "Why do you have such a nice smile?" I just tell them it's because it's a sincere smile. Why wouldn't I be smiling if I'm enjoying my life? I've got too much to smile about, so there's no point in frowning. ^_^
Yeah, Ryu is doing fantastic. His skin is growing back a little darker, and a friend of our's said it'll be darker for a little while, but it will fade back to normal. I take him back to get looked at on the 30th, and we'll see what happens from there.
Hope you and Luis are super happy to be back in Cali! Wish I could visit! >.< I'd love to go there someday. :glomp:
